Melodi Windows Firmware Update Guide(V1 and V2)
1. Unplug all patch cables from Melodi and unscrew it from your case. Check the "REV #" number on the back of the module.
- IF you have a version of Melodi that is REV 2.1 or less, firmware updates are not possible.
- IF you have a version of Melodi that is REV 2.3 or less, it requires power from your case. Leave the power cable plugged in Plug it into your computer using a USB-C cable, THEN power on the case.
- IF you have a version of Melodi that is REV 2.4 or more, it will draw power from your computer to perform the update, so unplug the power cable and plug it into your computer using a USB-C cable.
INSTALLING WINUSB DRIVER
- A driver is required to interface with Melodi to perform the firmware update. Zadig is a tool which will assist us with us! Download it from this website: https://zadig.akeo.ie/
- Once opened, it should look like this:
- Go to options and click on "List All Devices"
- Select DFU-RT Port from the drop down menu. Also make sure the "WinUSB" driver is selected

Click on "Install Driver", this may take a minute.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE
- Next, download the firmware update Version 1 or Version 2.
- Run the .exe file. The output should look like this for a successful update:
